Checklist: How to Know if This Property Is the One for You

What if this is the apartment for you?
It’s normal to have doubts after the first visit. Many of our clients say the same thing: They liked the apartment but haven’t made a decision yet. Interestingly, after thinking it over, comparing it to other apartments, and taking a short pause, many come back and end up buying that very apartment.
Why? Because first impressions often reveal more than we realize.
Seven signs this apartment might be the one for you:
1. You felt comfortable right away.
Sometimes, it only takes a few seconds. You walk in, and you feel as if the place isn’t rejecting you — as if it’s been waiting for you. It might be the light, the smell, the sounds, or simply the vibe. These feelings don’t always make logical sense, but they matter.
2. You started imagining your life there.
You weren’t just looking; you pictured yourself having coffee on the balcony, putting a bookshelf on the wall, and arranging your dishes. The leap from “this is an apartment” to “this is my home” often happens spontaneously. If you already felt it, don’t ignore it.
3. The neighborhood suits you, both spiritually and logistically.
An apartment can be perfect, but if the neighborhood doesn’t suit you, you’ll feel it immediately. Everything matters: distance to work, schools, transportation, safety, shops, and even the atmosphere of the street. If living there feels convenient, that’s a big plus.
4. The apartment fits your budget.
There’s no need to go to extremes. If you can afford the apartment without sacrificing your quality of life or peace of mind, consider it a lucky match. A good apartment should be beautiful, yes, but also financially reasonable.
5. It meets all your important criteria.
Every buyer has a list of non-negotiables: a bright living room, three bedrooms, an elevator, a quiet area, and nearby parking. If most of those are met, you’re close. That means you won’t need to give up anything essential just to buy it.
6. You keep comparing other options to this one, and this one always wins.
It’s a subconscious reaction. You keep searching, but your mind keeps going back to that apartment. You compare: “The layout here is worse,” “I didn’t like that area as much,” and “that one was better overall.” If this is happening, then you’ve probably already chosen it.
7. You have that gut feeling that you’ll regret it if someone else buys it.
That little flash of anxiety—“What if I miss it?” — usually means the apartment truly resonated with you. These emotions don’t arise when you’re indifferent. Often, it’s that feeling that tells you the time to decide is now, not later.
Want to see it again?
Sometimes a second visit clarifies things: different weather, a new perspective, and a calmer mind.
